After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Hugo Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Violeiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bento Jesus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute Hugo Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bento Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diogo Resende kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Francisco Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Valpedre FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Brito came free, but Bento Jesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Violeiro FC's Basílio Campos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Rodrigues in the 26th minute of play. Hugo Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bento Jesus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugo Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the game, Francisco Fontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Basílio Campos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Silva's late challenge caught a Violeiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Silva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Violeiro FC. Bruno Sousa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bento Jesus. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Fontes was the one to do the kick off. Vítor Rodrigues succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 57th playminute. Vítor Rodrigues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Basílio Campos made a huge save. In the 64th match minute, Violeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Almeida to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Violeiro FC's goalkeeper Basílio Campos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vítor Rodrigues. Luís Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Jesus having to interfere. If Hugo Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, Luís Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bento Jesus. Valpedre FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 77 minutes into the match, Violeiro FC's Luís Queirós sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bento Jesus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Diogo Resende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bento Jesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Brito in the 80th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Hugo Brito made a precise shot to the right of Bento Jesus. Valpedre FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 94thth minute of the game Hugo Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valpedre FC's Bento Jesus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Valpedre FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Violeiro FC.
