Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jorge Amorim took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Jorge Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Eirol's protests and gave Jorge Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Jorge Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Campos in the 6th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Albertino Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Óscar Alves. SC Fontinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albertino Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, SC Eirol's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Vaz came free, but Afonso Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simão Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 21 minutes, Jorge Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Fontinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Vaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Eirol fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! The referee gave SC Fontinha a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rodrigo Guerreiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Eirol's Afonso Paiva. 1-1. André Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When Rodrigo Guerreiro came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the SC Fontinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Guerreiro couldn't finish the play. When Artur Vieira fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Eirol's protests and gave Artur Vieira a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes SC Eirol got a freekick which was hit by Artur Vieira. Jorge Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Campos in the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simão Campos to make the kick off. If Jorge Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jorge Amorim took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Óscar Alves. Óscar Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Afonso Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu Marques in the 71st minute of play forced SC Fontinha's goalkeeper Óscar Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Campos, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 78th minute, Jorge Amorim made a precise shot to the right of Óscar Alves. SC Fontinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Costa during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Fontinha getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Luís Costa hit a great ball. SC Fontinha's Óscar Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Amorim in the 86th minute of play. After 88 played minutes SC Fontinha got a freekick which was hit by Joel Cardoso. When Jorge Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the SC Eirol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Amorim couldn't finish the play. Simão Campos struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Afonso Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Fontinha. In the 96th minute of the match Rodrigo Guerreiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Paiva skillfully saved the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SC Eirol were victorious despite being under pressure from SC Fontinha for much of the match.
