Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Miguel Pinheiro kicked off to start the match. João Pires struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Delfim Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vela FC. In the 11th minute Joel Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Guarda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes SC Corticois got a freekick which was hit by André Vieira. After 18 played minutes SC Corticois got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Aguiar. In the 20th minute, João Pires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delfim Lopes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eusébio Torres's late challenge caught a Vela FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusébio Torres helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vela FC's Miguel Pinheiro got a free kick in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Pinho in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Guarda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Guarda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Pinho in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Joel Pinho made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Vela FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Augusto Bessa hit a great ball. If João Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, SC Corticois's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Pinheiro came free, but Delfim Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 played minutes SC Corticois got a freekick which was hit by José Pires. 69 minutes into the game, Hugo Lima cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Pedro Guarda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Guarda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Lima in the 73rd minute of the match. Delfim Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th match minute, SC Corticois was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pires to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes in the game, Miguel Pinheiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Delfim Lopes having to interfere. João Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Delfim Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Corticois's Gil Matias was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Guarda in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gil Matias's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Pedro Guarda on his right side and into the goal. 89 minutes into the game it was 2-1. If Hugo Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
