Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Ribeiro's Catarino Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Borges in the 4th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Benavila FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Tavares came free, but Américo Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Américo Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Oliveira in the 8th minute of play. Emílio Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Catarino Aleixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Catarino Aleixo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benavila FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Borges in the 24th minute of play forced SC Ribeiro's goalkeeper Catarino Aleixo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. SC Ribeiro's Catarino Aleixo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save SC Ribeiro from getting a goal against them. Nuno Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Catarino Aleixo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The Benavila FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Ribeiro were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Tavares to make the kick off. The SC Ribeiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, SC Ribeiro's Duarte Leite got a free kick in the 71st minute. Benavila FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Ribeiro's Duarte Leite got a free kick in the 96th minute. The SC Ribeiro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Ribeiro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
