Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tafoneiro FC's Diogo Nunes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nuno Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Amorim in the 6th minute of play. David Amorim hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The long shot by Henrique Sá in the 8th minute really tested Fernando Machado's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Tafoneiro FC's Sérgio Domingues got a free kick in the 9th minute. Diogo Nunes's late challenge caught a Topo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogo Nunes helped the player get up and apologised. Diogo Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Cristóvão Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Rui Teixeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Topo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tafoneiro FC the free kick. A collision led to Topo getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Rui Teixeira hit a great ball. When Tafoneiro FC's Diogo Nunes in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Topo's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Diogo Nunes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nuno Araújo. After having played for 42 minutes, Diogo Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tafoneiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diogo Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Nuno Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Topo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Diogo Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Tafoneiro FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diogo Nunes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nuno Araújo came out and tried to block the shot, but Diogo Nunes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 54th minute. Topo's Nuno Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Nunes in the 58th minute of play. Tafoneiro FC's Gil Magalhães couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Topo. In the 64th minute of the game, Emanuel Santos landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 64 minutes, André Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tafoneiro FC and the Topo players grew even worse after the yellow card. 64 minutes into the game, one of Tafoneiro FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Joel Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, David Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diogo Nunes's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Diogo Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Ramos's late challenge caught a Tafoneiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Topo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Tafoneiro FC got a corner. Topo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gil Magalhães ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carlos Amaro tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Nuno Araújo. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-3 in the 91st minute. Topo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Diogo Nunes 95 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. After having played for 99 minutes, Diogo Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tafoneiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tafoneiro FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
