Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 10thth minute of the game Vicente Delgado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malpique's Adelino Paiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Vicente Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Delgado in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adelino Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 19 minutes, Amadeu Assunção mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malpique and the SC Pousadouros players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Malpique's Amadeu Assunção got a free kick in the 19th minute. Carlos Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Vicente Delgado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adelino Paiva was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 37th minute, one of Malpique:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Malpique. With an all-out effort, Malpique's Amadeu Pinheiro threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from José Queirós, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, José Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeu Pinheiro. SC Pousadouros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malpique the free kick. Xavier Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Afonso Costa's late challenge caught a SC Pousadouros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Costa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Afonso Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
