Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diogo Faro in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Gomes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Augusto Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Faro in the 17th minute of play. If Rui Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Ribeiro hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cercadas getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Paulo Neves hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Pedro Matias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cercadas's Daniel Gueifão got a free kick in the 23rd minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Corvos FC booed when Cercadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Rui Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corvos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
