Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Carlos Alves started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute, Vítor Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 played minutes Meadela FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Queirós. Carlos Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernandes having to interfere. The supporters of SC Sadoncelho booed when Meadela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ricardo Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernandes having to interfere. Humberto Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Adolfo Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Carlos Alves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Fernandes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 27 minutes into the game, Jorge Baptista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Sadoncelho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meadela FC the free kick. In the 27th minute, Jorge Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience cheered loudly when Manuel Esteves's long shot in the 28th minute became 1-1 when the ball went to the left of and passed Adolfo Valente. A hard shot 31 in the game by Luís Coelho from a close distance when the talented Adolfo Valente managed to make a qualified save. SC Sadoncelho's players were relieved. Carlos Alves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Ricardo Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th match minute, SC Sadoncelho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Luís Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Adolfo Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Carlos Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Meadela FC's Luís Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolfo Valente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adolfo Valente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Pereira's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Adolfo Valente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Coelho in the 54th minute of play forced SC Sadoncelho's goalkeeper Adolfo Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Carlos Alves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carlos Fernandes, 1-2. Ricardo Matos came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carlos Fernandes could save by the left post. After 65 played minutes Meadela FC got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Ferreira. Ricardo Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Carlos Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Luís Coelho made a precise shot to the right of Adolfo Valente. SC Sadoncelho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 81 minutes into the match, SC Sadoncelho's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Coelho came free, but Adolfo Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Sadoncelho's Adolfo Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Pereira in the 82nd minute of play. When Manuel Costa fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meadela FC's protests and gave Manuel Costa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, Manuel Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Albertino Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carlos Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
