Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Peva's Joel Torres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that José Lisboa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Ferro was relentless in the 2nd minute of the game. When Simão Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peva's protests and gave Simão Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Peva getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Simão Amaral hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Peva's goalkeeper Rodrigo Ferro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Matos. Joel Torres took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Paiva. Rogério Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rodrigo Ferro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Lisboa's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. When Cláudio Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Serzedelo's protests and gave Cláudio Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Peva booed when Serzedelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delfim Gueifão in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rogério Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Joel Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delfim Gueifão struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Rogério Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peva. 40 minutes into the game, Eusébio Matos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Serzedelo the free kick.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Lisboa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Peva's Joel Torres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rogério Paiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogério Paiva made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when João Veiga sent off a good shot on target. Rogério Paiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delfim Gueifão in the 80th minute. Afonso Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Ferro having to interfere. When João Marques came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Serzedelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Marques couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute, Delfim Gueifão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
