The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Cláudio Leite fired a really elegant long shot, but Amadeu Ferro threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. SC Mosteiros's Carlos Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Urcinas FC's Amadeu Ferro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Urcinas FC from getting a goal against them. António Porto charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed António Porto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. António Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 14 minutes in the game, Cândido Guerreiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Amadeu Ferro having to interfere. If António Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílcar Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Campos in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Carlos Miranda dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amadeu Ferro, 1-0. Heitor Correia lost his temper 25 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Urcinas FC a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Afonso Vale, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Mosteiros's Amílcar Nogueira. 1-1. Heitor Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Heitor Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Heitor Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Vicente Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílcar Nogueira having to interfere. Manuel Campos struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Amílcar Nogueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urcinas FC. Joaquim Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. António Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Amadeu Ferro made a huge save. Amadeu Moniz kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and António Sousa made a kick off. When Manuel Pires fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Mosteiros's protests and gave Manuel Pires a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of SC Mosteiros:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Urcinas FC:s goal. SC Mosteiros:s Amílcar Nogueira showed great skill when he stopped Afonso Vale:s penalty. After 55 played minutes SC Mosteiros got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Ramos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Campos got free with Amílcar Nogueira in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amadeu Ferro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cândido Guerreiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Joaquim Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 minutes, Afonso Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Urcinas FC and the SC Mosteiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Urcinas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Vale to maneuver through the defense. António Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Ferro having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, António Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Mosteiros's supporters rose to their feet, but António Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Ferro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When António Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the SC Mosteiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Sousa couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Urcinas FC's Amadeu Moniz got a free kick in the 94th minute. 96 minutes into the game, SC Mosteiros's António Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeu Ferro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. António Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Mosteiros were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Urcinas FC for a fine match.
