A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Ruival's Álvaro Carvalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nuno Moniz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Júlio Leão acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Eduardo Trindade. The wind increased when Cristiano Garcia made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Nuno Moniz managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Ruival's Álvaro Carvalho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vicente Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute Cristiano Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Moniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Matias's late challenge caught a Nasce FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Matias helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Nasce FC booed when Ruival was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Matias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nasce FC's Nuno Moniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Nasce FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Cristiano Garcia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Moniz was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Cristiano Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Despite being the better team, Ruival failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
