Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Humberto Ribeiro got the match started through his kick off. Luís Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Branco in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Emílio Branco made a precise shot to the right of Luís Baptista. Portimao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Portimao's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Branco came free, but Luís Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Branco in the 15th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Portimao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emílio Branco made a kick off. After 51 played minutes SC Adoria got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Fonseca. José Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th minute, one of Portimao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Portimao. When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, SC Adoria's Domingos Cabral got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luís Baptista. A collision led to Portimao getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Sebastião Lima hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Portimao's goalkeeper Luís Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basílio Aleixo. The audience was convinced that Humberto Ribeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Morais was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 75th minute, Basílio Aleixo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portimao's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Morais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 played minutes SC Adoria got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Paiva. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Xavier Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Adoria's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 96 minutes into the game, Basílio Aleixo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Luís Baptista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Adoria had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
