With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Marques in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Brás saved Adoria FC from getting behind. Humberto Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertino Mota in the 11th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amílcar Figueiredo during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amílcar Figueiredo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. António Brás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adoria FC's António Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Vale in the 23rd minute of play. Humberto Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertino Mota in the 29th minute of play. Inácio Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Humberto Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Giesteira FC's zone, Inácio Maia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Ribeiro came out of the goal and Inácio Maia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiago Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Giesteira FC's Humberto Ribeiro got control of the ball when Inácio Maia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute, Tiago Vale made a precise shot to the right of António Brás. Adoria FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albertino Mota to make the kick off. Adoria FC's António Brás proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Adoria FC from getting a goal against them. Amílcar Machado's late challenge caught a Adoria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amílcar Machado helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Giesteira FC's Amílcar Machado got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Albertino Mota who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Giesteira FC's Humberto Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Marques's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, António Brás skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
