SC Folgosa's Rui Pinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save SC Folgosa from getting a goal against them. When Cristiano Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Folgosa's protests and gave Cristiano Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. Rui Pinto made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Cristiano Moutinho sent off a good shot on target. Gabriel Anjos might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastião Freitas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Anjos ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gabriel Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Sebastião Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Cabral struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Rui Pinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monfirre FC. Gabriel Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Freitas having to interfere. Rui Amorim hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, SC Folgosa's goalkeeper Rui Pinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Moutinho. Cristiano Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Pinto having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Pedro Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Folgosa's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Moutinho was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Gabriel Anjos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastião Freitas. Monfirre FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Anjos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, SC Folgosa's Ricardo Henriques got a free kick in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Manuel Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monfirre FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Pinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Monfirre FC's Cristiano Moutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Humberto Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Gabriel Anjos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastião Freitas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Monfirre FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Oliveira Melo hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, SC Folgosa's Gonçalo Amaral broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gabriel Anjos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gabriel Anjos came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the SC Folgosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Anjos couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SC Folgosa booed when Monfirre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Anjos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristiano Moutinho struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Rui Pinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monfirre FC. After 92 minutes of play, Monfirre FC's Cristiano Moutinho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rui Pinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
