Rui Cabral charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Aguiar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Monfirre FC's zone, Carlos Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Freitas came out of the goal and Carlos Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Lima in the 59th minute of play forced SC Alveijar's goalkeeper Tomás Delgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Alveijar's Carlos Aguiar got a free kick in the 60th minute. If Humberto Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Alveijar's zone, Cristiano Moutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 66 minutes of play Monfirre FC's Rui Cabral was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Sebastião Freitas came out of the goal and Alexandre Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 played minutes Monfirre FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Silva. Sebastião Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Aguiar in the 77th minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Cristiano Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monfirre FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Moutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SC Alveijar getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Mariano Matias hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Cristiano Moutinho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alexandre Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Freitas having to interfere.
