Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Fouto's Fernando Amaral started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Fouto's José Amorim got control of the ball when Raul Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Armando Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Fernando Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Paredes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Fernando Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Jorge Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Paredes having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jorge Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armando Paredes was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Manuel Gaspar hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Cristiano Magalhães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Amorim having to make a save. Afonso Gaspar hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, one of Fouto:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fouto. Armando Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Magalhães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Fernando Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd match minute, Varzeas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Fouto's José Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Santos in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Cristiano Magalhães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 63rd minute, Raul Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Amorim came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Varzeas FC's Cristiano Magalhães. But to his dismay, Cristiano Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 74 minutes into the match, Fouto's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Santos came free, but José Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Magalhães in the 78th minute of play. Afonso Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Cristiano Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Fouto defense, Raul Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Amorim. The Fouto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Amorim should have stopped the shot. After 90 minutes of play Fouto's Afonso Gaspar was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 94th minute Cristiano Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Amorim having to interfere. Fouto's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
