Daniel Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Armando Paredes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Leiria in the 9th minute of the match. Raul Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute António Leiria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raul Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 25 minutes into the match, Pegoes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Magalhães came free, but Eduardo Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Júlio Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Eduardo Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Magalhães in the 38th minute of the match. Varzeas FC's Raul Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Raul Santos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. António Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristiano Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Leiria, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the match, António Leiria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armando Paredes. Varzeas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that António Leiria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 91 minutes, Raul Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varzeas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cristiano Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of Varzeas FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Varzeas FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Pegoes FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
