Gabriel Martinss short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Joel Setúbal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gabriel Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute Jaime Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Freixianda FC's Gabriel Carneiro got a free kick in the 17th minute. Gabriel Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Joel Setúbal made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Rodrigues in the 21st minute of play forced Freixianda FC's goalkeeper Joel Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 minutes of play, Freixianda FC's Fernando Cruz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Setúbal was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Cruz in the 28th minute of play forced Freixianda FC's goalkeeper Joel Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquim Setúbal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Joaquim Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Joaquim Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tabuadela FC booed when Freixianda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Amaral struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Joel Setúbal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tabuadela FC. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Cruz made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gabriel Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabuadela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Setúbal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel Setúbal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Rodrigues in the 53rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Gabriel Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joel Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Martins in the 69th minute of play. Gabriel Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Setúbal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Catarino Gaspar's late challenge caught a Tabuadela FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Catarino Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. Joel Setúbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Jaime Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Joel Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97thth minute of the game Fernando Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tabuadela FC's Joaquim Setúbal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
