The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Gonçalves got free with Alexandre Moutinho in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Gil Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Povoa's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Campos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Moutinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gil Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the game, Gil Campos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alexandre Moutinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sérgio Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandro Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Oliveira having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, SC Povoa's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Cunha came free, but Sérgio Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Gonçalvess short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Alexandre Moutinho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gil Campos was the one to do the kick off. But to his dismay, Gil Campos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 92 minutes into the game, SC Povoa's Fernando Gonçalves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Moutinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. SC Feteira's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
