Alexandre Moutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusébio Paiva's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. The supporters of SC Feteira booed when Cardosas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cândido Santarém didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Sandro Aleixo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Afonso Correia, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Daniel Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Feteira's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the match, Cardosas FC's goalkeeper Afonso Correia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Cunha. Cardosas FC's Afonso Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Cardosas FC from getting a goal against them. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cardosas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Afonso Correia had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Rodrigo Jesus's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game André Santarém who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Feteira's Alexandre Moutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. André Santarém recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Feteira's Daniel Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vítor Ferreira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 47th playminute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusébio Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Daniel Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cardosas FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
