Luís Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Sacavem's zone, Joaquim Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Lopes came out of the goal and Joaquim Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquim Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Fernando Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Lopes having to interfere. Delfim Aleixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Luís Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. SC Zibreira's Delfim Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Baptista in the 17th minute of play. Joaquim Dantas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Lopes having to make a save. Catarino Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Lopes having to interfere. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sacavem! Sacavem:s Fernando Lopes showed great skill when he stopped Joaquim Oliveira:s penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Zibreira's Joaquim Oliveira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernando Lopes. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. Joaquim Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Catarino Figueiredo was the one to do the kick off. Joaquim Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Lopes having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Sacavem got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Campos. Fernando Lopes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Dantas went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Cristiano Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes SC Zibreira got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Valente. Catarino Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Fernando Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute Catarino Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Lopes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When the referee ended the match the SC Zibreira players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
