Lúcio Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Porto in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Resende in the 7th minute of play forced Brunhais's goalkeeper Carlos Assunção to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Cardoso hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. André Dantas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lúcio Gaspar. Gradiz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Brunhais's António Porto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lúcio Gaspar. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. 37 minutes into the game, António Porto lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Lúcio Gaspar. 3-0 became the score in the 46th minute when António Porto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for António Porto to strike the kick off in the second half. António Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Lúcio Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gradiz's zone, António Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Gaspar came out of the goal and António Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Porto in the 60th minute of play forced Gradiz's goalkeeper Lúcio Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amílcar Guerreiro during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amílcar Guerreiro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. If Joaquim Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Brunhais's Lucas Cardoso got a free kick in the 68th minute. António Jesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Assunção having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Fernando Resende made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Assunção. Brunhais's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The supporters of Brunhais booed when Gradiz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Almeida in the 76th minute of play forced Gradiz's goalkeeper Lúcio Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Paredes kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Júlio Leiria kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Amílcar Guerreiro hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Resende got free with Carlos Assunção in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brunhais's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
