Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Montes's Jorge Valente started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sandro Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Valente in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Valente in the 6th minute of play forced Veiga's goalkeeper Sandro Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Nascimento in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Montes's Jorge Valente in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Veiga's goalie prevented a goal. Afonso Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Gaspar in the 14th minute of the match. Manuel Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Afonso Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veiga. Mário Lima hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Montes were awarded a corner. Alexandre Santarém went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Alexandre Santarém almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Veiga's Sandro Monteiro did a great save. Ricardo Matias charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Matias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ricardo Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Luís Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Veiga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Afonso Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Coimbra got free with Sandro Monteiro in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Nascimento made a kick off. If André Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Gaspar got free with Afonso Miranda in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Afonso Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 74 minutes, Manuel Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Veiga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Valente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sandro Monteiro having to make a save. Jorge Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Luís Gaspar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. When Rui Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montes's protests and gave Rui Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. Rui Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, André Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montes's supporters rose to their feet, but André Coimbra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Sandro Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Jorge Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jorge Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Lúcio Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandro Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Valente in the 96th minute of the match. The Veiga players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
