Mariano Faria took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gil Branco. Galifonge FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hélder Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. A hard shot by Mariano Faria from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Gil Branco's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Galifonge FC's Gil Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Gomes in the 68th minute of play. Gil Branco made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Afonso Silva sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th match minute, Galifonge FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cândido Brito to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Alberto Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute Delfim Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79thth minute of the game Nuno Valente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arieira's Alberto Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Delfim Cunha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Moreira having to make a save. Afonso Silva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gil Branco firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cândido Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cândido Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arieira's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
