In the 18th minute Viriato Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Sabaris FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Ferro having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

54 minutes into the game, Rui Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. José Macedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Delfim Ferro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barreira FC. 65 minutes into the game, Afonso Luz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. José Macedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 75 minutes, Rafael Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barreira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augusto Lima's late challenge caught a Sabaris FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Lima helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Barreira FC's Augusto Lima got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Delfim Ferro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Carvalho in the 86th minute of play. Afonso Luz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Macedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute Rui Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delfim Ferro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
