The tension between the Barreira FC and the Findal players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes, Findal's Diamantino Aguiar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Macedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Findal reached it. Afonso Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. After 26 played minutes Findal got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Monteiro. In a very dangerous position, a player in Findal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Emanuel Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Castro in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Barreira FC's Alexandre Castro got a free kick in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Findal's zone, Rafael Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Martins came out of the goal and Rafael Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th match minute, Findal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. After 48 played minutes Barreira FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Carvalho. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Afonso Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Macedo having to interfere. Viriato Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Martins having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Mariano Anjos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Augusto Lima helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Findal booed when Barreira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Neves's late challenge caught a Barreira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Neves helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Findal getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Afonso Neves hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Augusto Lima made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Martins. Findal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 96 minutes into the match, Findal's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Carvalho came free, but Emanuel Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
