The supporters of SC Ficalho booed when Arroio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 17th minute Alexandre Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arroio FC's Lucas Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Ramos in the 19th minute of play. José Valente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Santos's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, SC Ficalho's Alfredo Ribeiro got a free kick in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Simão Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arroio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Valente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Santos in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Valente saved SC Ficalho from getting behind. If Emílio Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SC Ficalho's José Valente got control of the ball when Simão Monteiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Valente made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Simão Monteiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute Tiago Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emílio Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Tiago Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Tiago Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Valente having to interfere. Emílio Guarda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Lucas Nogueira made a huge save. In the 88th minute, Emílio Guarda made a precise shot to the right of Lucas Nogueira. Arroio FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. If Simão Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
