Picarral's Gil Jesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Vale in the 12th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, Picarral's Paulo Sousa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basílio Fernandes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Machado in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basílio Fernandes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to SC Sanjurge getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alfredo Amaro hit a great ball. A hard shot 18 in the game by Paulo Sousa from a close distance when the talented Basílio Fernandes managed to make a qualified save. SC Sanjurge's players were relieved. 21 minutes into the match, SC Sanjurge's goalkeeper Basílio Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Sousa. Paulo Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Fernandes having to interfere. Alfredo Amaro kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Picarral got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Machado. After having played for 32 minutes, Rui Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Sanjurge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, SC Sanjurge's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Machado came free, but Basílio Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Basílio Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61stth minute of the game Joaquim Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Sanjurge's Basílio Fernandes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
