Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Catarino Viana kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Regueirao's zone, Catarino Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Melo came out of the goal and Catarino Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Regueirao's Alberto Valente managed to work through Curvatos FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Alberto Valente dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 20 minutes, Cristóvão Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Regueirao and the Curvatos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the Regueirao defense, Rui Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rui Melo. The Regueirao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui Melo should have stopped the shot. If Catarino Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th match minute, Regueirao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Pires to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Curvatos FC's Luís Ramos tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rui Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Regueirao's Rui Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Almeida in the 36th minute of play. The Regueirao players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Curvatos FC were winning 0-1.

Regueirao's Alberto Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rui Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Viana in the 55th minute of play. Rui Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Viana in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Regueirao's goalkeeper Rui Melo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Almeida. After having played for 63 minutes, Rui Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curvatos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Viana in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Regueirao's goalkeeper Rui Melo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Almeida. Catarino Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Alberto Valente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Curvatos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Amaral came free, but Cândido Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Viana in the 87th minute of play. Curvatos FC were furious when Oliveira Oliveira was red carded, 89 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 89th minute, one of Curvatos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Curvatos FC. In the 97th match minute, Curvatos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Viana to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
