Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lucas Guerreiro kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Lucas Guerreiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tomás Freitas, passed just outside the right post. After 5 minutes, Ricardo Esteves made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Passo's Tomás Freitas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 10 minutes into the match, SC Passo's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Guerreiro came free, but Tomás Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Ricardo Esteves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Freitas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ricardo Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 played minutes, SC Passo's David Cruz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Ferro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Passo reached it. When Afonso Assunção fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monfebres's protests and gave Afonso Assunção a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Passo booed when Monfebres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monfebres's Lucas Guerreiro got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Esteves got free with Tomás Freitas in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 33 played minutes SC Passo got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Andrade. Ricardo Estevess short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Tomás Freitas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Carlos Ferro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Monfebres's goal looked a bit too open when João Pires came free, but Carlos Ferro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Passo's Abel Soares pulled a muscle in his back after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 44 minutes into the game, Afonso Moura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monfebres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Passo the free kick. A collision led to Monfebres getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Afonso Moura hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, José Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Pires to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomás Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Guerreiro in the 56th minute of play. Carlos Ferro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Heitor Andrade went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Lucas Guerreiro struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Tomás Freitas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monfebres. After a defensive mix-up in Monfebres's zone, Fernando Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Ferro came out of the goal and Fernando Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lucas Guerreiro came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Monfebres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Guerreiro couldn't finish the play. Tomás Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Guerreiro took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Freitas. Tomás Freitas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 83 minutes into the match, João Pires dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carlos Ferro, 3-2. Carlos Ferro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 87th minute, which inside left pole to 3-3. Fernando Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Ferro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. Júlio Trindade hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
