Muroes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grovas FC the free kick. In the 3rd minute, Diogo Pedroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diogo Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Daniel Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Resende having to interfere. If Cristóvão Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Daniel Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diogo Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armindo Silva in the 17th minute. Armindo Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Diogo Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasco Coimbra kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Grovas FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armindo Silva got free with Diogo Esteves in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armindo Silva was the one to do the kick off. Grovas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Resende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 played minutes Muroes got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Silva.
