After 3 played minutes Eduardo Setúbal rounded Pelhaes's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Joel Henriques kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Joel Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Jancide's Joel Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Veiga in the 30th minute of play. Júlio Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Pelhaes's António Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Henriques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th match minute, SC Jancide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Anjos to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Anjos in the 36th minute of play forced Pelhaes's goalkeeper José Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If António Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Eduardo Setúbal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Veiga in the 43rd minute of play forced SC Jancide's goalkeeper Joel Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Jancide's Eduardo Setúbal got a free kick in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, SC Jancide's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Veiga came free, but Joel Henriques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When Marco Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Pelhaes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Veiga couldn't finish the play. After 62 played minutes SC Jancide got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Abreu. Joel Henriques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Veiga in the 63rd minute. After 63 played minutes SC Jancide got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Setúbal. António Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Joel Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Gaspar Lima sped through Pelhaes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Brito. In the 81st match minute, SC Jancide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Paredes to maneuver through the defense. Diamantino Moniz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Henriques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Pelhaes's José Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Lima in the 87th minute of play. Nuno Anjos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Jancide's Gaspar Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Jancide had won after a very even match.
