Marco Martins's late challenge caught a SC Forjais's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, SC Forjais's goalkeeper André Moura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Martins. Gil Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SC Forjais booed when SC Borba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but André Moura made a huge save. If Marco Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gil Faria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Filipe Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Borba's Filipe Sousa got control of the ball when Pedro Trindade tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gil Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Moura having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Carlos Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute Gil Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Aguiar in the 76th minute of play. Gil Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. André Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Borba's Albertino Cardoso got a free kick in the 94th minute. SC Borba were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Forjais for a fine match.
