After a defensive mix-up in SC Laurentim's zone, Fernando Viegas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 7th minute Cláudio Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, SC Laurentim's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Cruz came free, but Paulo Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Cláudio Cruz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Delgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Fernando Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Baralde FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Viegas couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Cláudio Cruz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Delgado was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 25th minute, José Valente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oliveira Viana was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 28th match minute, Baralde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Viana to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Baralde FC booed when SC Laurentim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Américo Castro made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Américo Castro in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliveira Viana saved Baralde FC from getting behind. Heitor Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Raul Viana sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Laurentim's Paulo Delgado didn't even have to move. In the 58thth minute of the game José Valente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baralde FC's Oliveira Viana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Valente helped the player get up and apologised. Fernando Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Paulo Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Viegas struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Baralde FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
