Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Lúcio Cardoso started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jorge Neto made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Nuno Viana sent off a good shot on target. Tomás Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Marco Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lúcio Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Marco Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rendo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaspar Gueifão in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Neto saved Rendo from getting behind. In the 37th match minute, Rendo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute Tomás Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute Rendo were awarded a corner. Hélder Vaz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Rendo's Hélder Vaz to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Gaspar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nuno Viana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Jorge Neto made a huge save. Tomás Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lúcio Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Gaspar having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaspar Gueifão to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Escouras FC's zone, Lúcio Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Gaspar came out of the goal and Lúcio Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiago Guerreiro's late challenge caught a Escouras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Guerreiro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Escouras FC booed when Rendo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaspar Gueifão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Neto having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Gueifão in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorge Neto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nuno Viana went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute, Miguel Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Lúcio Cardoso got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Lúcio Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Escouras FC's Gaspar Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Marco Gaspar managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Rendo's Tomás Baptista fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 95 minutes into the match, Rendo's Tomás Baptista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Gaspar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Gaspar Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escouras FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Gueifão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Neto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rendo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Escouras FC.
