Alcobertas FC's João Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Carvalho in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Fronteira's Carlos Carvalho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Martins. João Martins yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Cristóvão Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. João Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Carvalho in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, André Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alcobertas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Martins having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Lucas Setúbal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogério Almeida having to make a save. After 28 minutes of play, Fronteira's Cristóvão Teixeira made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Martins was left in no man's land by his defense there! André Viana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogério Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Rogério Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardo Lima went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Carlos Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fronteira's protests and gave Carlos Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Alcobertas FC booed when Fronteira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristóvão Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóvão Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes Fronteira got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Teixeira.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Viana to make the kick off. António Moreira made a great header on Fronteira's corner, it was just that Alcobertas FC's João Martins managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 58th minute, Cristóvão Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Carvalho in the 65th minute of play forced Alcobertas FC's goalkeeper João Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Cristóvão Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alcobertas FC's André Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute Cristóvão Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristóvão Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rogério Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Alcobertas FC's André Viana dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Fronteira were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
