When Cristiano Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Antanhol FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Cunha couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Figueiredo having to interfere. Daniel Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Brito in the 13th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match Albertino Paredes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Gonçalves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Antanhol FC's Daniel Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Brito in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Antanhol FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Brito came free, but Daniel Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Carlos Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Rocha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Jacinto Figueiredo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Antanhol FC's Diamantino Almeida got a free kick in the 44th minute. Daniel Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A hard shot 53 in the game by Álvaro Castro from a close distance when the talented Daniel Gonçalves managed to make a qualified save. Antanhol FC's players were relieved. Antanhol FC's Daniel Gonçalves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Antanhol FC from getting a goal against them. Álvaro Castro took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Gonçalves. Daniel Gonçalves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Carlos Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Carlos Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Opeia's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Gonçalves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Cunha in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Figueiredo saved SC Opeia from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Cunha in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Figueiredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 76 minutes, Carlos Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Opeia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Álvaro Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Daniel Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SC Opeia booed when Antanhol FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Carlos Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SC Opeia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
