Rui Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jorge Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Sarriao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Fontes couldn't finish the play. Rui Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Luz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Fontes in the 38th minute of play forced Pipelo FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Garcia during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Fontes was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Rui Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54th match minute, Sarriao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Jacinto Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Fontes in the 59th minute of the match. Jorge Fontes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Luz having to make a save. Xavier Martins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Vale in the 71st minute. Xavier Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pipelo FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
