In the 14th minute of the match Marco Matias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Pinto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rui Moutinho struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Manuel Pinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esteveira. Viriato Figueiredo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Luís Gaspar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 24 minutes into the match, Esteveira's Viriato Gonçalves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Pinto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bruno Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. SC Agrela's Manuel Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Gonçalves in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sandro Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Gaspar was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Esteveira's Amílcar Gomes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Manuel Pinto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Rui Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Esteveira's zone, Viriato Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Gaspar came out of the goal and Viriato Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viriato Figueiredo scored 1-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Gaspar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Viriato Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esteveira's Viriato Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rui Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Manuel Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Francisco Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Esteveira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Vasco Martins's late challenge caught a Esteveira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasco Martins helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Agrela getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Vasco Martins hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Bruno Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viriato Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
