The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Vale in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amílcar Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Vasco Martins fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Agrela's protests and gave Vasco Martins a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Martins in the 11th minute of play forced SC Agrela's goalkeeper Manuel Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Cavalos's João Martins slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Pinto. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, João Martins took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Manuel Pinto to make any attempt to save it. 28 minutes into the match, SC Agrela's goal looked a bit too open when João Martins came free, but Manuel Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandro Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Amílcar Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, SC Cavalos's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Figueiredo came free, but Amílcar Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Agrela's Sandro Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sandro Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandro Vale made a kick off. If Viriato Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viriato Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Castro's late challenge caught a SC Agrela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Castro helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes SC Cavalos got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Castro. Amílcar Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viriato Figueiredo in the 74th minute. The audience was convinced that Sandro Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amílcar Cruz was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Emílio Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 4-1 when João Martins sped through SC Agrela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manuel Pinto.
