Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Filipe Esteves made the kick off and thus started the match. If Filipe Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Filipe Esteves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filipe Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Vaz having to interfere. Jorge Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Esteves in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Gambelas booed when SC Sobrada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Mário Amaro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jorge Andrade to make any attempt to save it. Jorge Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bento Figueiredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bento Figueiredo ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Mário Amaro took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jorge Andrade to make any attempt to save it. In the 30th minute, Filipe Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute Manuel Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Sobrada's Filipe Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Gambelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Vieira to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Filipe Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gambelas's Bento Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Filipe Barros struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Jorge Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Sobrada. The supporters of SC Sobrada booed when Gambelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Vaz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 58th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lúcio Anjos. After a rather tough play, Gambelas's João Carvalho got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Bento Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Sobrada's Jorge Andrade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the SC Sobrada defense, Bento Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Andrade. The SC Sobrada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Andrade should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the match, SC Sobrada's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Amaro came free, but Jorge Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bento Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Mário Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gambelas's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Amaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Figueiredo in the 82nd minute of play forced SC Sobrada's goalkeeper Jorge Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gambelas's zone, Filipe Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Vaz came out of the goal and Filipe Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Domingos Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Jorge Vaz made a huge save. SC Sobrada's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
