Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fontao's Cristiano Martins started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Ancede's Inácio Setúbal in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fontao's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Inácio Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ancede's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Setúbal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Aleixo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Inácio Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ancede's António Cabral got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Ancede booed when Fontao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Assis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inácio Setúbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alfredo Aleixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Dias having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fontao's zone, Júlio Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Aleixo came out of the goal and Júlio Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inácio Setúbal to strike the kick off in the second half. Ancede's Inácio Setúbal got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Martins in the 57th minute of play forced Ancede's goalkeeper David Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Cristiano Martins lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated David Dias. A collision led to Ancede getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Júlio Vaz hit a great ball. Ancede's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Cristiano Martins scored to the left of an out of position David Dias, making the score, 0-2. David Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Martins in the 75th minute of play. If Júlio Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fontao's Alfredo Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Vaz in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Inácio Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ancede's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Setúbal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Aleixo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Júlio Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Inácio Setúbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Aleixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Ancede's goalkeeper David Dias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Nogueira. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fontao walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
