Rafael Paredes struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Alexandre Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talhareses FC. After 7 played minutes Talhareses FC got a freekick which was hit by Artur Vieira. Ricardo Assis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Carvalho in the 9th minute of the match. Gaspar Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Castro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 14th minute, but Alexandre Castro got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Montijo FC hanging dry this time. Gaspar Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alexandre Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Carvalho in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Assis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Joaquim Assis came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Montijo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Assis couldn't finish the play. Joaquim Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Talhareses FC booed when Montijo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Diamantino Ferreira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexandre Castro. Diamantino Ferreira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 41st minute, Eusébio Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diamantino Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Castro having to interfere. When Diamantino Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Talhareses FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Ferreira couldn't finish the play. If Gaspar Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diamantino Ferreira to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes, Talhareses FC's Nuno Simões shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alexandre Castro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Talhareses FC reached it. Alexandre Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diamantino Ferreira in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Alexandre Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montijo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talhareses FC the free kick. When Gaspar Santos came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Talhareses FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Santos couldn't finish the play. After having played for 60 minutes, Gaspar Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talhareses FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaspar Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diamantino Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Castro having to interfere. In the 66th minute Gaspar Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Santos got his second yellow card in the match during the 72nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 73 played minutes Montijo FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Santos. In the 78th minute, Gaspar Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Talhareses FC booed when Montijo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Ferreira in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Talhareses FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Assis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Assis. With a little luck, Talhareses FC's Ricardo Assis got control of the ball when Joaquim Assis tried to sneak it across the goal line.
