Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cláudio Castro started the match with the kick off. Jorge Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Quinta's Nuno Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albertino Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertino Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Quinta booed when Matosos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertino Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Quinta's goalkeeper Miguel Resende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Porto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Veiga in the 14th minute of play forced Matosos's goalkeeper Paulo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matosos's Paulo Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Veiga in the 16th minute of play. Rui Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Resende having to interfere. With a little luck, Quinta's Miguel Resende got control of the ball when Rui Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute Nuno Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Matosos's José Garcia got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When Quinta's Diamantino Branco in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matosos's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Veiga in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Pinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuno Veiga made a kick off. Matosos's Nuno Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 53rd minute Rui Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Resende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Porto in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miguel Resende prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matosos's Paulo Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Matosos from getting a goal against them. If Cláudio Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Amorim during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Quinta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Resende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Castro in the 68th minute of the match. Rui Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Pinho came out of the goal and Diamantino Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Quinta's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Lima came free, but Miguel Resende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Veiga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulo Pinho came out and tried to block the shot, but Nuno Veiga slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 92nd minute. Paulo Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Veiga in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Quinta eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
