SC Requeixo's Alexandre Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Oliveira in the 16th minute of play. Gonçalo Amaro charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Amaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gove getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Gonçalo Amaro hit a great ball. In the 24thth minute of the game Hélder Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gove's Gustavo Barbosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Armando Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Matos having to interfere. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Requeixo's goalkeeper Alexandre Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Armando Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Matos having to interfere. Alexandre Matos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Oliveira went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Gove's zone, Jorge Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Barbosa came out of the goal and Jorge Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Requeixo's goalkeeper Alexandre Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélder Neto was the one to do the kick off. Hélder Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Requeixo's Alexandre Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Pedroso in the 59th minute of play. Alexandre Matos was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Armando Pedroso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Armando Pedroso really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. A collision led to Gove getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Paulo Castro hit a great ball. Américo Pedroso was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Hélder Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Gustavo Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Jacinto Ribeiro hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Américo Pedroso, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gustavo Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Santos in the 86th minute of the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Armando Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Pedroso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gove's Gustavo Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Neto in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gove had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
