Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Vicente Pires started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 2 minutes into the game, Afonso Jesus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gaiteiras FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catezim the free kick. A collision led to Gaiteiras FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Afonso Jesus hit a great ball. André Neves lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 9 played minutes Gaiteiras FC got a freekick which was hit by André Neves. Afonso Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Pacheco in the 10th minute of play. Vicente Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Freitas having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Setúbal got free with Pedro Ferreira in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaiteiras FC's André Setúbal was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 22nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Afonso Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Pires in the 25th minute of the match. Afonso Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Assunção in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Catezim's zone, André Setúbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Ferreira came out of the goal and André Setúbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Afonso Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaiteiras FC's goalkeeper Afonso Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 45 minutes, Hugo Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gaiteiras FC and the Catezim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hugo Barbosa hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Setúbal to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Moniz kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Afonso Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Setúbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Ferreira having to interfere. If Vicente Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Moniz during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Gaiteiras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Moniz to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Duarte Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduardo Assunção's late challenge caught a Gaiteiras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Assunção helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Setúbal in the 81st minute of play. Eduardo Assunção struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Afonso Freitas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catezim. Pedro Moniz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. André Setúbal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Ferreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The supporters of Catezim booed when Gaiteiras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Moniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Catezim's Vicente Pires dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Gaiteiras FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
