In the 20th minute, Rui Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the game, Rui Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Caxaries's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catezim the free kick. A collision led to SC Caxaries getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rui Castro hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Catezim's Bruno Pacheco broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Bernardo Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the SC Caxaries fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Mendes couldn't finish the play. Vicente Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Moreira having to interfere. Catezim's Duarte Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rui Castro hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Vicente Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Moreira having to interfere. If Bernardo Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Moreira made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Duarte Rodrigues sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SC Caxaries getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Pedro Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Assunção, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
