After a defensive mix-up in Urgal FC's zone, Eusébio Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Fonseca came out of the goal and Eusébio Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. André Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Andrade in the 24th minute of the match. André Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Andrade in the 25th minute of play. Eusébio Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If André Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute of the match, José Martins tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but António Santos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Andrade made a kick off. André Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. António Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If José Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute José Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SC Costa booed when Urgal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Valente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without António Santos having to make a save. In the 71st minute, Eusébio Vaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 74 minutes into the game, Rui Leiria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Urgal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Costa the free kick. After 75 played minutes Urgal FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Leiria. André Fonseca was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eusébio Vaz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 79 minute of play. André Fonseca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Andrade's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Valente in the 92nd minute of play forced SC Costa's goalkeeper António Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. António Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The SC Costa players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Urgal FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
