An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Torres in the 11th minute of play forced Farroupo's goalkeeper Augusto Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute of the match Farroupo got a corner. Mocoes FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulo Brás ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Farroupo's corner Paulo Brás fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Delfim Paredes quite easily take care of the ball. Rogério Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Amílcar Lima came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Farroupo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílcar Lima couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Mocoes FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Emílio Trindade hit a great ball. Delfim Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Monteiro in the 72nd minute of play. Rui Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Augusto Coimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Farroupo booed when Mocoes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Trindade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Farroupo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
