Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bruno Miranda took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Calicas's José Ramos got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute, SC Calicas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Óscar Garcia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. António Borba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Reis went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Quintao's António Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Miranda in the 16th minute of play. Gonçalo Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Carlos Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Óscar Garcia in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to SC Calicas getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Emanuel Fontes hit a great ball. António Borba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Miranda in the 40th minute of play. Bruno Miranda scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of António Borba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Diogo Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half SC Calicas were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Óscar Garcia was the one to do the kick off. Joaquim Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Quintao's zone, Marco Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Borba came out of the goal and Marco Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. António Borba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With a little luck, Quintao's António Borba got control of the ball when Marco Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Quintao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. Marco Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but António Borba made a huge save. Marco Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Quintao's António Borba got control of the ball when Marco Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Afonso Pires hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Amílcar Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Quintao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílcar Fontes couldn't finish the play. Bruno Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. António Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Miranda was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. SC Calicas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Óscar Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Carlos Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Calicas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Calicas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
